The Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses becomes a member of CSAP

21.November.2012

The CSAP, currently composed of 27 nonpartisan associations, financially autonomous and non-religious, was created to help it's members and their contributions to stand out, promoting action in civil society.

According to Telmo Mourinho Baptista, the President of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP), joining the CSAP “strengthens the important contribution the civil society can have on the debate and in finding the solutions for the problems that affect the country. Citizens and organizations must intervene more and promote discussion and debate about the alternative ways of living in society, and in the present case, in overcoming the serious crisis that affects citizens, economically, socially and psychologically.” Still according to Telmo Mourinho Baptista, “the Ordem dos Psicólogos wants to make a statement in this debate and will continue to claim the importance of the psychological factors, so often forgotten, to help solving the problems that we all face.”

To this effect the President will attend a CSAP work meeting on November 24th.
