In the scope of the agreement established, in April 2012, in São Paulo, the 2nd Meeting of Psychology Professionals Organisation of CPLP, took place. There were representatives from Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Brazil and Portugal sharing experiences on Mental Health, Human Rights, Psychological Evaluation, Training and the Digital World.

Conference of Experts “Psychology for Health – Contributions to Policy Making”

Ordem dos Psicólogos (OPP) participates in a Conference organised by EFPA

The Order is present at the conference of experts, promoted by EFPA, and which will take place on the 20th and 21st of September 2012. "Psychology for Health – Contributions to Policy Making" is a conference which intends to become a mark of reference in the discussion of this subject. Recommendations for European and national policies will come from this meeting.

“International Presidents’ Initiative at the 2012 Annual Convention”

Ordem dos Psicólogos (OPP) present at the APA Annual Convention

The Order was invited by the President of APA, Suzanne Bennett Johnson, to be present at this initiative which brought together 27 managers from 19 Psychology associations from around the world. This convention allowed for the sharing of experiences and the discussion of various aspects related to the profession in each of the participating countries.

Vocational Training Courses

Ordem dos Psicólogos (OPP) makes a statement on the implementation of new vocational training courses

The Ministry of Education is preparing new vocational teaching courses for students who have failed repeatedly, between the ages of 14 and 15. The President of the Ordem dos Psicólogos (OPP) believes that professors, psychologists, parents and students should be informed and involved in the decision to attend these courses. Vocational courses should be seen as a suitable alternative for a student and not a form of punishment for their lack of academic success.
