The Cabinet, the Ministry of Economy and Employment and the Nacional Council of Professional Assciations (NCPA), of which the Ordem dos Psicólogos is a member, signed today a protocol destined to remove the existing barriers to access to financing programs for mandatory internships to obtain a professional certificate.

This week the Ordem dos Psicólogos launched the “I want to be a Psychologist” website, a place to analise the accurate and current numbers regarding Psychology in Portugal. According to Telmo Mourinho Baptista, President of the OPP, “this is a civic contribuition from the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses so that citizens can have access to every relevant information when the time comes to choose a career”.

Telmo Mourinho Baptista, President of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses, was interviewed on the Economico TV's show, “Human Capital”, and adressed the issues of career options for psychologists and the role and importance they have in society.

José Lucas, member of the Ordem dos Psicólogos's Board, talked on TV about the need and importance of providing psychological support to workers that have precarious situations and an uncertain future.

A place to share ideas and reflections and give a more personal perspective of all the work done by the Ordem, and that is yet unknown.

Under the scope of the Presidency of the Iberoamerican Federation of Psychology Associations, and continuing to make research and training tools available to it's members, OPP promotes access to Redalyc – Latin America, Caribe, Spain and Portugal's Scientific Journals Network. This structure wants to help divulge the scientific activity that happens in the Iberoamerican space.
