Summary of Regional Elections 2012

On the 15th of October 2012, the first Regional Board Elections of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) were held. The Elections were carried out as normal, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Funchal and Ponta Delgada. Yet another fundamental stage since the creation of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) was concluded.

1770 was the number of psychologists who participated in the Regional Elections 2012.
 
With the presentation of only one candidate list for the Board for each of the Regional Branches, named List A, the percentage of votes for each region was:
 
North
75.39% of the votes were cast for List A
15.35% of votes were blank
9.25% of votes were null
 
Centre
94.53% of the votes were cast for List A
3.54% of votes were blank
1.93% of votes were null
 
South
95.66% of the votes were cast for List A
4.17% of votes were blank
0.17% of votes were null
 
Madeira
94.29% of the votes were cast for List A
5.71% of votes were blank
 
Azores  
92.31% of the votes were cast for List A
7.69% of votes were blank
 
In complying with the Elections Calendar, the Swearing-In of the Regional Boards elected will take place on the 30th of October.
