The 1st National Congress of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) counts on the High Sponsorship of the President of the Portuguese Republic. The support of the Presidency of the Republic to the Congress represents the recognition of the work of psychologists and the contributions of Psychology in the country. It is also recognition of the importance that the 1st Congress of Portuguese Psychologists has on a national panorama.

For the President, Telmo Mourinho Baptista, this is a clear demonstration of the attention given by the President of the Republic to issues related to psychology and its impacts on society. «I am very pleased with the sponsorship from the President of the Republic of the event which, to us, shows the vital importance in the assertiveness of psychologists, and which has a historic character, as it is the first professional congress for all psychologists», he said.

The 1st National Congress of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) will take place from the 18th to the 21st of April 2012, at Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon.
