The President of the Ordem dos Psicólogos was in Coimbra on the 12th October, where he participated in the "Workshop on the Introduction to Research in Psychology", promoted by the Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra, upon invitation by Foundation Committee Coordinator, Prof. Doutora Cristina Canavarro.

Telmo Baptista took part in a panel where the topic "Are research skills important to the labour market?" was discussed. He stated an unequivocal Yes regarding the importance of research skills, underlining their importance for showing the results of psychological intervention. He further highlighted some of the research activities that shall take place within the Order.

He concluded his comments stating that "Only with research skills shall we have the best professionals, providing quality services, in complying with an ethical duty to contribute to the wellbeing of people and society".
