Upon invitation by APDSI- Associação para a Promoção e Desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação (Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society), the OPP President attended Fórum da Arrábida, on the 8th and 9th October, and participated in the discussion "Rethinking the future of the information society - the State's role". The Forum, which gathered a number of famous figures from different walks of life within Portuguese society, hosted plenary conferences and small group debates on the following topics: "The regulatory function of the State", "New responsibilities and challenges" and "The evolution of the concept of the State, models and perspectives." In the thoughtful atmosphere of the Arrábida Convent, views were openly exchanged on major issues which are important to the future of our country.
