Notice about elections, polling stations and mandates

Pursuant to the provisions of the Statute of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses, approved by Law nº 57/2008, of the 4th September, and the Election Regulation of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses, we hereby inform the following:
1. In accordance with the call for election of the 11th February 2010, the deadline to submit lists ends on the 19th March 2010;
2. The candidates' lists must be delivered to the Order's head office, at Travessa da Trindade, n.º 16, 5º A, 1200-469 Lisbon, until 6 pm on the date mentioned in paragraph 1, and include all the original documents mentioned in Article 16 (3) of the Order's Election Regulation.
3. In addition to the polling stations that shall operate at the national head office in Lisbon and the regional office in Porto, polling stations shall also be open in the areas where in the future regional offices shall be established: Centre, the Autonomous Region of the Azores and the Autonomous Region of Madeira, between 10 am and 9 pm.
4. The 50 mandates of the Assembly of Representatives shall be distributed proportionally, according to the number of psychologists registered in each electoral area.
5. For the purpose of the first election of the Assembly of Representatives, the mandates shall be distributed as follows: North - 15 mandates; Centre -7 mandates; South - 24 mandates; Azores - 2 mandates; Madeira - 2 mandates.
