“How can Psychology contribute towards the building of a society that respects diversity”, or “How to guarantee citizenship, dignity and well-being to the entire population”, are some of the questions that the 2nd National Demonstration of Psychology Practices intends to answer, from the 20th to the 22nd of September this year. The event which will be attended by the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, and with professionals from Portuguese speaking countries and Latin America.
The event will have a space for Portuguese speaking countries, where the work of the psychologists from the respective countries will be presented. The Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) is available to show the work of its professionals, so that they do not have to go to Brazil to do it themselves. The works of Portuguese psychologists must be sent to secretariado@ordemdospsicologos.pt with an indication of the participation in the 2nd National Demonstration of Psychology Practices. In any case, Portuguese psychologists may choose to present the works in São Paulo, if they prefer.
The works can be presented in the form of posters or video. The posters must be 90 cm wide and 120 cm tall. The videos must be no more than five minutes long, with a minimum resolution of 640x480 pixels and must be delivered in mp4 format. Registration in the event is free and the delivery of the works must be done by the 15th of June. The official site of the 2nd National Demonstration of Psychology Practices contains all the information on the event.
The 2nd Demonstration, which comes about 12 years after the first, intends to promote, foment the strengthening of the different areas of performance of Psychology and to allow their interaction. All this, though films, discussions and meeting points. The programming for the meeting, which celebrated 50 years of the Psychological profession in Brazil, will be based on the presentation, using panels and videos, of the practices of Psychology in 19 areas of performance and on 14 Work Processes.
