OPP and COP sign collaboration protocol

With this agreement, the members of Consejo General de Colégios Oficiales de Psicólogos de España and the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) benefit from the same conditions at events promoted by both organisations.

On the 18th of April, the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) and the Consejo General de Colégios Oficiales de Psicólogos de España (COP) signed a collaboration agreement to give continuity and work in defence of professional values for a better service to society. With this protocol, members of the COP and OPP benefit from the same conditions at events promoted by both organisations.

Among the initiatives to be developed, in the scope of the agreement, is the mutual support between OPP and COP in European projects and in the context of the European Federation of Psychology Associations (EFPA) and the implementation of a common participation policy at Iberoamerican Federation of Psychology Associations (FIAP).

The agreement is also aimed at the organisation of the Portuguese-Spanish Psychology Congress, and also to foment documental cooperation and training sessions. The document was signed by the President of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP), Telmo Mourinho Baptista and the President of the Consejo General de Colégios Oficiales de Psicólogos de España, Don Francisco Santolaya.

For the President of the Ordem dos Psicólogos (OPP), the signing of the document is of "enormous importance", as it represents the "continuity of the collaboration previously established between COP and OPP". the Colégio Oficial de Psicologia was on the front line of organisations which helped in the creation of the Order and there have always been excellent collaboration relations and friendship.

The COP was invited to the 1st Congress of Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) and was represented by the President, Don Francisco Santolaya and by the head of International Relations, Manuel Berdullas.
