A victory message after a Congress which, during four days, brought together 1800 professionals from all over the country, at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon. They were four days of exchanging experience, ideas and more than 450 presentations were heard.

In terms of media, never had a psychology event had so much projection like the 1st Congress of the Order. From radio to television, including press, all media spoke of the historic meeting of psychologists.

This was the largest contribution ever for the affirmation of Psychology and psychologists in Portugal. It was the moment when psychologists asserted themselves as an organised class.
