Professional Orders and Self-Regulation in Portuguese Society

Professor Adriano Moreira was a guest at the event which is dedicated to the topic “The Importance of Professional Orders in Portuguese Society“.

The Conselho Nacional das Ordens Profissionais (National Council of Professional Orders) (CNOP) organised a symposium with Professor Adriano Moreira dedicated to the topic “The Importance of Professional Orders in Portuguese Society“.

The event is free and is scheduled for the 22nd of March at 5 p.m. It will be held at the amphitheatre of the Order of Doctors at Av. Almirante Gago Coutinho, 151 in Lisbon (next to "rotunda do relógio").

The Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) will be present and appeals for the participation of all psychologists. The Order has developed and worked on various initiatives as member of the CNOP.

The CNOP is an association which represents the regulated liberal professions, whose practice requires the registration in force, in a Professional Order or Association with an equivalent legal nature.

Its targets, among other aspects, are to defend the ethical values of the regulated liberal professions and also their characteristics and interests. It is also aimed at the development and articulation of professional regulating bodies for an effective improvement of self-regulation and the quality of the exercising of the powers delegated by the State.
