The Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Alexandre Miguel Mestre, received, at a hearing, the President of the Ordem dos Psicólogos (OPP), Telmo Mourinho Baptista and Francisco Rodrigues, member of the Board. The Order presented itself to the Secretary of State as a partner in projects which involve initiatives aimed at youths and also in the area of sports.

Regarding youths, the Order defended the crucial role that psychologists play, and should have in the training of teachers, regarding the identification and marking of given problems and risky behaviour. He also recalled the importance of psychologists in all the work done in the prevention of risky behaviour among youths.

The Ordem dos Psicólogos (OPP) transmitted its experience in the training of the area of entrepreneurship and the role that it can have in the integration of youths in the job market, namely in terms of the attitudes and behaviour of the entrepreneur.

At the meeting, concerns were also demonstrated regarding the issues related to the employability of psychologists. The Order recalled the proposals which it had presented in the past to the Parliament for the alteration to Law 57/2008.
