The document, released to the Media on International Day of Mental Health, collects the conclusions from various national and international studies which show the advantages to health and the economy of having more psychologists working in the public health system.

International studies quoted in the report show that the psychological consultation not only pays for itself, but also allows for earning in Health. This happened because high success rates are presented which allows people to get back to work sooner.

There are currently little over 170 psychologists working in health centre and less than three hundred in hospitals, a number which is clearly insufficient for the existing needs, and for the expected increase in the cases of mental disturbances in cases of instability and crisis.

The Order is concerned and alert, and is performing more detailed studies in this area, and is accompanying, with the Ministry of Health, the increase in the accessibility of citizens to the services.
