The Ordem dos Psicólogos was received, on the 31st of August, by the Minister of Solidarity and Social Security, Mr Pedro Mota Soares.
 
In this hearing, the Order presented several proposals: one aimed at the promotion and use of psychologists so as to obtain a greater efficiency in the Services provided by the institutions in each area, namely in terms of the Social integration income; another proposal was related to the improvement of the special education support system; a third proposal discussed, following a challenge set by the Minister, the intervention of Psychologists in the area of support in aging, in particular as the next European year will be dedicated to Active Aging.
 
The proposals were openly received by the Minister Pedro Mota Soares.
