The Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) is now a member of the Conselho Nacional das Ordens Profissionais (CNOP) (National Council of Professional Bodies). From the 21st January, the Order has undertaken its role in an Institution that represents regulated professions and is renowned for: defending the ethical and deontological values of regulated professions, creating and coordinating the means of action aimed at strengthening, promoting and advertising regulated professions, representing a wide range of participating professions before public and private bodies and national and international organisations, as well as developing and contacting professional regulatory bodies with the aim of improving self-regulation and the quality in exercising the powers delegated by the State.
