The President participated as a speaker in the 1st National Conference, entitled "Psychological support in Higher Education: Models and Practices" which took place on the 20-21st May at the Universidade de Aveiro, organised by RESAPES (Rede de Serviços de Apoio Psicológico - Associação Profissional), the professional association for the network of Psychological support services, the subject the conference being "Psychological Support Services and the Ordem dos Psicólogos".
He upheld the importance of these services as examples of good practice and the provision of care to all recipients, highlighting the need for psychologists to present the results of their intervention, thus making this service more widely available to citizens.
He underlined several advantages in creating such close services within the community and in areas where it may be possible to overcome the barriers in accessing these services.
