The Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) informs that in compliance with its Election Calendar, the elections for the National Bodies (President and Board, Fiscal Committee, Assembly of Representatives) were held as scheduled from 10 am to 9 pm on the 12th April 2010, in Lisbon (Head Office), Porto (OPP Regional Office), Coimbra, Funchal and Ponta Delgada. 2389 votes (37.42%) were cast of a total of 6834 voters at a national level, with the following results:

Invalid Ballot Papers - 0.34% (8 votes)

President and Board*

Invalid Ballot Papers - 0.42% (10 votes)

Fiscal Committee**
List A - 95.52% (2282 votes)
Blank Ballot Papers - 4.10% (98 votes)
Invalid Ballot Papers - 0.38% (9 votes)
150 ballot papers were declared invalid, pursuant to Election Regulation Nº 241-A/2010, of the 12th March, Article 33 (2) d), because they were not accompanied by a copy of the identification document as set forth in Article 31 (1) f). Another 2 ballot papers were declared invalid due to the absence of a signature on the envelope as set forth in Article 31 (1), f) and finally a further 2 ballot papers were declared invalid because their respective envelopes contained more than one ballot paper for the same body standing for election.
The Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses would like to thank all Psychology professionals, employees and institutes that efficiently and competently worked with them with a view to the success of the whole election process and which thus allowed the first elections to be held for the National Bodies of the Order.
